The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) kicked off its 2025 Management and Board Retreat on Tuesday, aiming to reposition the agency for greater effectiveness in combating corruption.
The two-day event, held in Calabar, was formally opened by ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN.
The retreat brought together prominent stakeholders, including Supreme Court Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim, Senator Emmanuel Udende, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption, and Hon. Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh, representing Hon. Kayode Moshood Akiolu, Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-Corruption. Cross River State Attorney General, Hon. Ededem Charles Ani, alongside ICPC board members and senior management, also attended.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Aliyu emphasized the retreat’s role as a critical moment to evaluate the Commission’s performance over the past year and develop a forward-thinking strategy to enhance ICPC’s impact in the fight against corruption.
